During eleven years in journalism, Laura Smith has written and edited for publications including The Guardian, The Independent, The Observer, Marie Claire, Information World Review and Catalyst. As a news reporter at the Evening Standard and The Guardian she covered breaking news stories on crime, politics, health, education, business and economics before leaving to freelance as a feature writer. She is now a columnist and feature writer for mydaily.
